The Aurum Lumen

Aurum Lumen is an esoteric society and is not affiliated to any other organisation, whether esoteric, religious or political, each member having their own working religious beliefs which are fostered and enhanced by the work of the Aurum Lumen.

This eclectic initiatory system stems from a fusion of pre-Christian traditions of Ancient Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean including the mystical teachings to which no date of origin can be assigned. It appears in the traditions of the Essene Brotherhood and the traditions of the Christs, the Gnostic doctrines, the Kabbalah and the Zohar and the Cathar religion of Southern France in the 12th and 13th centuries. In addition to this a fusion of the Eastern Bhuddist and Polynesian traditions and core essences have qualified and enhanced these traditions into a workable system of enlightenment.

Its signatures are the threefold Seven Ray system, the Pentegrammic (whether in ritual, pictorial or literal form) . These appear in the insignia and symbolism of the pre-Christian and mediaeval works and temples and also in other chivalric Orders.

This tradition may be traced by the relevant symbols from the pre Christian era to this order which keyword is Regeneration: a regeneration not dependent on race, colour, creed or religious leaning, but upon the understanding and application of unchanging spiritual laws. The general historical designation of the tradition is Hermetic: not alone as signifying an involvement in alchemy, but because its traditions incorporate and build upon the works of the main alcehemical texts including those great works of Hermes Trismegistus.
